Why partner with Missions Ablaze

Your CSI Spend Goes Further Because Our Food Is Free.

Most hunger-relief partnerships spend a large share of budget on food procurement. We do not.

5 partners donate their surplus free of charge: Shoprite Checkers group, Spar, Woolworths, Food Lover's Market and Food Forward SA.

Your CSI investment funds logistics rather than stock. Diesel, vehicles, electricity, kitchen supplies, people. Every rand services the machine that delivers food, not the food itself.

Operational resilience

31 Years Through Every Crisis This Country Has Had.

Corporate partners increasingly assess CSI on operational resilience, not only impact.

Missions Ablaze has run continuously from the same address since 1995, through load shedding, rand volatility, the 2021 KwaZulu-Natal riots, the 2022 floods and the 2024 Tongaat tornado. The vehicles kept moving. The kitchens stayed open.

That is the partner risk profile.

For South African companies

B-BBEE Points. Section 18A. Employee Engagement. One Partner.

One relationship covers the scorecard, the certificate, the volunteer programme and the reporting content your annual report needs.
  • B-BBEE scorecard

CSI spend counts toward the socio-economic development element.

  • Section 18A certificates

Issued for all qualifying donations, dated and documented for your finance team.

  • Employee volunteer days

Structured kitchen visits, team food drives, Mandela Day placements. Your HR team gets a pre-built programme.

  • Reporting content

Quarterly impact pack with photography, named community members, meal counts and financial allocation, formatted for annual report inclusion.

Invoices, Section 18A certificates and PBO registration letters are issued within 5 working days of payment.

For US companies

International Partnership. Transparent on Tax.

Missions Ablaze accepts corporate donations in USD and can issue acknowledgement letters on request.

Direct US corporate donations are not automatically US tax-deductible.

Missions Ablaze is a South African NPO, not a 501(c)(3). US corporations wanting a US tax-deductible structure should route donations through a fiscal sponsor or 501(c)(3) intermediary. We can connect you with Grace Church Silver Pines, a US church partner that has acted as a fiscal conduit for international giving on our behalf.

Reporting deliverables are identical for US and South African partners.
